Supporting You and Your Family Through Cancer — With Love, Experience, and Empathy

It Takes a Village

Survivors by the Sea began with a simple but profound realization: so many people in our local community were facing cancer — newly diagnosed, in the midst of treatment, or recovering and they needed more than just medical care. They needed support, friendship, and someone who truly understood.

In April of 2006, two women, both touched by cancer, came together to offer that kind of support. What started as a grassroots effort quickly grew into something bigger. By 2009, we became a certified 501(c)(3) nonprofit, and today, our group has expanded to include over 230 members across New England and beyond.

We are warriors, survivors, and caregivers — a tight-knit cancer support group offering compassion and connection to those navigating the difficult path of diagnosis, treatment, and survivorship. Whether it's emotional encouragement, practical help, or a friend to lean on, we are here.

Our mission is to pay it forward. Through love, empathy, and experience, we walk beside cancer patients and their families. We provide care, friendship, and advice.
